Coolant Pump

Removal
1. Drain the coolant.
2. (4A-FE, 5A-FE and 7A-FE)
Remove the generator drive belt and pulley pa ¬ coolant pump (see "Removing the timing belt"). (4A-GE)
3. Drain the coolant.
4. Tighten the drain plugs.
a) (4A-FE and 7A-FE)
Apply adhesive sealant on two recent threads on ¬ thread of the cylinder tube. Adhesive sealant. . . . GINEE VOYy 1344, 242 or equivalent SHOT1TE
b) Turn the cork. Tightening torque tube of the cylinder:
4A-F, 5A-F and 5A-PE. 13 Nm
4A-FE(AT190 and AE101)
and 7A-FE 29 nm
4A-FE (AE92, AE95, AT171 and AT180) and 4A-0E (AE92 and AT160) 34 Nm
5. Slowly pour coolant into the cooling system in which ¬ lichestve corresponding forbidden ¬ vochnym containers.
Remove the drive belt hydro ¬ amplifier and steering con-ditsionera. Then remove the alternator drive belt and pulley water pump (see under ¬ section "Removing the timing belt"). (4A-5A and F-P)

Removing the water pump 4A-FE (AT190 and AE101), 5A-FE and 7A-FE. 1 - V-belt, 2 - guard number 2 timing belts, 3 - water pump pulley, 4 - water pump, 5 - bolt water pump (MV = 14 Nm), 6 - O-ring, 7 - Protection ¬ ny cover number 3 timing belt, 8 - node dipstick assembly with at pravlyayuschey ¬, 9 - O-ring, 10 - bolt guide dipstick (MH = 9.3 Nm), 11 - the transfer tube cooling fluid which gives 12 - transfer tube number 2 coolant pipe gasket 13 number 2 for supplying a cooling liquid, 14 - nut fixing inlets number 2 coolant (MH = 15 nm), 15 - wiring harness, 16 -, guard tow electrical wiring, 17 - high wire, 18 - spark plug, 19 - cylinder head cover, 20 - cover gasket cylinder head, 21 - hose system of forced ventilation crankcase 22 - electric motor.
Remove the coolant pump pulley.
3. (4A-FE (AT190 and AE101), 5A-FE and 7A-FE)
Remove the cylinder head cover ¬ Lindrum (see "Removing the rem ¬ AEs RM").
4. Remove the protective cover number 2 and number 3 the timing belt.
5. Disconnect the guard elec ¬ troprovodki.
6. Remove the dipstick assembly.
7. (4A-F, 5A-F, 4A-4A-DE and PE (AE92, AE95, AT171, AT180)

Pick up the handset supply cooling ¬ ing fluid and the pump, following the sequence: a) Disconnect the inlet and bypass hoses ¬ Noah from the tube for supplying cooling fluid ¬ giving.

Coolant pump. 1 - pulley water pump, 2 - hub pulley drive pump, 3 - bearing, 4 - case for ¬ Sosa, 5 - bolt the pump housing (MH = 9.1 N m), 6 - rotor pump (impeller) , 7 - oil seal, 8 - pump cover, 9 - pump cover gasket ¬ ca, 10-O-rings of the pump cover.
Nogo probe, pre-installing a new O-ring on the guide.
c) Loosen the three mounting bolts 3. Install the masloizmeritel-
pump and remove the water pump ¬ cooling fluid inlets along with number 2.
g) Remove the O-ring gasket.
Test
• Check visually for leaks coolant through the connection and the air hole.
• Rotate the pulley and make lay-com and silent rotation of the pump shaft.
Otherwise, replace the coolant pump.
Installation
(4A-FE (AT190 and AE101), 5A-FE and 7A-FE)
1. Connect the pump inlets with number 2.
2. Install the pump with inlets at the number 2 engine-Tel by establishing a new O-rings on the cylinder block and a new pro ¬ laying on the cylinder head, thus marking the protrusion of the gasket should be directed upwards, as shown in the figure.
d) Remove the pump from the transfer tube number 2, as shown in Fig-ke sung.
Tighten the bolt (MH = 9.3 Nm). 4. Set the following items (see paragraphs 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15 cases podraz ¬ "Setting the timing belt"):
a) protective cover electrical wiring.
b) protective cover number 2 and number 3 the timing belt.
c) The head cover. cylinders. g) belt alternator pulley and water pump.
5. Fill the system with coolant (see "Checking and replacing the coolant").
6. Start the engine and check for leaks of cooling fluid ¬ bone.
(4A-F, 5A-F, 4A-4A-DE and PE (AE92, AE95, AT171, AT180))
1. Replace the pump cooling fluid ¬ giving pre-setting the appropriate place on the new cylinder sealing ring. Tighten the screws of the pump ¬ gained strength (MV = 15 Nm).
2. Install the masloizmeritel-tion probe, pre-installing a new O-ring on the guide (grease seal-ring with engine oil).
Tighten the bolt (MH = 9.3 Nm). 3. Set up for supplying cooling fluid ¬ giving, observing the sequence ¬ sequence: a) Install the new seal ¬ ring to the appropriate one hundred IU ¬ coolant pump.
b) Temporarily set up under-water coolant, closing it with two beers ¬ nut and bolt.
Tightening torque:
nuts. 20 Nm
Bolt 13 Nm
a) Connect the inlet hose and overflow hose to the pipe supplying the coolant.
4. Install protective cover number 2 and number 3 the timing belt (see "Setting the timing belt").
5. Temporarily install the pulley liquid pump, securing it bol-Tami.
6. (4A-5A and F-P)
Install the pump drive belt ¬ sa power steering. Then set the re ¬ generator drive less and water pump and fasten ¬ are finally bolted the pump pulley. (4A-DE)
Install the timing belt hydraulic power steering and / or air conditioning belt ¬ inequality.
(4A-FE (AE92, AE95, AT171, AT180)) Install drive belt gene ¬ operator and the coolant pump.
7. Adjust drive belt tension (see "Checking the alternator drive belt" chapter "Engine - mechanical part").
8. Fill the system with coolant (see "Replacing the Okhla-maintainer fluid").
9. Start the engine and check for leaks of cooling fluid.
Removing the thermostat
Attention: the removal of the thermostat reduces the effective ¬ STI cooling system, so you should not take the thermostat if the engine tends to overheat.
1. Drain the coolant (see "Replacing the coolant").
2. (4A-FE (AT190 and AE101), 5A-FE and 7A-FE) Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor.
3. Remove the inlet and the thermo ¬ stat by removing the two nuts and two bolts, remove the gasket from the thermostat.
1 - Thermostat, 2 - gasket, 3 - CPG ¬ SKNOU pipe cooling fluid ¬ dice, 4 - temperature sensor connector ¬ Ry coolant (for 5A, 4A-FE and PE (AE101 and AT190)), 5 - Nut (MH = 9.3 Nm).
Test
Please note: as a rule, the thermostat plotted numbers denoted the temperature of the beginning of ¬ covering the valve.
1. Lower the thermostat in a container by water and slowly heat it.
2. Make sure the temperature of the beginning of the valve the thermostat is in the range 80 - 840S. Otherwise, the case ¬ case replace the thermostat.
3. check the value of lifting the valve, the value of which shall be not less than 8 mm at 95 ° C. Otherwise, replace the thermostat.
Make sure that when cold thermostat valve spring is held in the closed position. Otherwise, replace the thermostat.
Installation
1. Set the thermostat in the cavity CPG ¬ sknogo fitting a new gasket. (4A-F and 4A-DE) Set the thermostat as shown.
Install the inlet Okhla-maintainer of the liquid, it secured a two ¬ me nuts and bolts (MH = 9.3 Nm).

Connect the sensor temperature coolant.
Fill the system with coolant (see "Checking and replacing the coolant").
Start the engine and check for leaks of cooling fluid.
